Chapter 52 Collision Of Feelings
- Rachel POV
- The party was in full swing. Neon lights pulsed like colorful heartbeats, syncing with the deafening electronic music that made the apartment walls vibrate. Drinks flowed freely — cups in hands, bottles littering the floor, cans forgotten on windowsills. It was a living chaos, an explosion of energy that Bonnie had sworn my move deserved, shouting it needed a “PARTY” in capital letters. And she was right. It was all that and more.
- People were everywhere: in the living room, dancing on the rug like it was an impromptu dance floor, bodies moving in a frenzy of sweat and laughter; in the garden, groups chatting loudly or competing in drinking games, bottles clinking; by the pool, some diving in with shouts, others just dipping their feet, laughing until they were breathless; and on the terrace, smaller groups sitting, smoking, laughing, soaking in the warm Miami breeze. It was life, it was madness, but I couldn’t fully surrender to it.
