Chapter 22 Fire In The Dark
- Rachel POV
- His kiss was a living flame, a fire that licked every corner of my mouth and spread through my body like a wildfire. Jeremy wouldn’t let me go—his lips, soft and ravenous, danced against mine with an urgency that swept the ground out from under me, making me forget who I was, where I stood. I clung to him, my fingers digging into his dress shirt, tugging at the fabric as if I could tear it apart and get closer, deeper.
- His heat swallowed me whole, the scent of sweat mixed with his woody cologne rising from his neck, intoxicating me, leaving me dizzy. I hated him for it—for making me crave something I knew was wrong, something that scorched me from the inside like a curse.
