Chapter 99 Taken Hostage

• Via realized they’d been locked up for days now. Not in the same place, mind you. The food—she was convinced they put some shit inside. But then again, she tended not to eat any, yet she would still find herself unconscious and in a different location when she woke up. The place they were being kept in now was far more comfortable than the dark dungeon from before, but somehow this made her even more uncomfortable.
• Jess remained curled up in the corner of the room. She had her face buried in her knees. She’d lost considerable weight in the past few days. Via worried for her friend, but she worried more about what awaited them in this place. Were they even in Florence? Italy?
• They spent approximately six hours locked up in the room—Via counted every minute. The iron door squeaked as it was pushed open, and the girls shrank back as two men poured into the room. They were simple men—vampires by the look of it. They were dressed in vests, dark pants, and long sleeves, their hair gelled back until not a single strand came loose. They had an air of calm and authority about them.
