• There was nowhere to run to. And even if any of them tried to make a run from whatever fate they would face, they were all humans. The vampires could easily hunt them down. It would only take a minute at most.
• Slowly, more of the women were called in until only a few remained, huddled together as if to seek comfort. Via was the only one who had a composed countenance. She wasn’t sure what to make of the situation, or what would happen once she stepped through those doors. But she sure knew she wouldn’t go out without a fight. Her normal-looking human nails could become her biggest weapon in just a blink of an eye.
