• The call must have been unexpected. Or perhaps not. Knowing his brother, Alaric must gave already known about every single thing that was happening, he was just waiting for the right opportunity to be involved.
• For a moment, he contemplated if reaching out to his brother was worth it. What could Alaric possibly do that he couldn't. But then again, Alaric had been Lord for much longer than he was, he had connections with the kind of sketchy people Damien wouldn't associate with even if his life depended on it. Damien might be cold, but Alaric was the devil himself. He truly gave no shits about anyone else.
