Chapter 103 Hit Harder

  • The Days passed by rather slowly; Via hardly took notice of them. Her parents—her father especially—had become rather protective of her lately. Since her return from Florence, she hadn’t taken a step out of the house. She’d heard snippets of her parents’ conversation about changing her school. Her mom was of the opinion that going back to Elrhon would be best for the family. But Via could guess her father wasn’t happy with the idea—his ego probably wouldn’t let him return to his dad’s place.
  • Jess was in therapy. She was doing much better now, though sometimes she found it hard to remember what exactly had transpired in Florence. Via suspected Aiden and his people had something to do with the mass memory loss. No one else aside from herself remembered the full details of what had happened. And Via had no plans of saying a thing about it. She was trying to forget everything as it is.
  • But was it really easy to forget? How could she? She couldn’t sleep a wink without thinking about him. Via had decided that Asher was the reason things had gone downhill. He’d lied to her. Even now she still didn’t fully know the history between him and her parents. Her dad wouldn’t say anything, except to remind her to be more careful from now on.
