Chapter 63- Don’t underestimate your enemy

Xander accompanied Abigail for the entire day. He didn’t leave her side at all and asked Riley to handle business in his place. Abigail was touched to see this. The man she hated so much accompanied her in her difficult situation, but her fiance Aidan did not answer her call. He didn’t even call back to her for once in the entire day. She would never forget this. The love she had for him was long gone. All these days, she just tried to maintain the relationship by thinking that one day, she would recover the lost love. But after noticing his indifference, the last hope in her mind also died. She made up her mind to call off this relationship once her father got cured. She didn't know if she'd marry Xander or not, but she was now determined that the person she would marry would not be Aidan.

Riley had brought a few files with him, and Xander was checking them attentively. She couldn’t hear what they were talking about, but Xander looked so serious. It seemed that he was totally different from the jolly appearance that he usually portrayed in front of her. Sometimes she wondered which was his real nature… The flirtatious one or the serious one. She was even more puzzled to think how one person could show two different personalities.
