Chapter 31- The cold-blooded murder

• After an unknown span of time, Charles gradually regained his consciousness. He hissed with pain and tried to lift his hand. But he couldn’t move his hand a bit. He opened his eyes and found himself chained. His hands spread wide on both sides and chained on two pillars. His legs were chained as well with the same pillars. He squirmed to escape. The clanging sound of the iron chains resonated in the dimly lit room.
• “You are awake.” A deep familiar voice came not very far from him.
• Charles turned his head to look at the source of the voice and saw Aidan strolling towards him. One of his bodyguards pulled out a chair for him. Aidan sat on it, facing Charles, placing one leg over the other. His eyes were focused on him. There was a sinister smile on his face.
