Chapter 19- The disobedient woman

• Robert Mills’s expression darkened, and he clenched and unclenched his jaws to suppress his anger. He wouldn’t let go of the person easily who dared to hurt her. “Alright. Don’t cry anymore. It’s late now. Go and get some sleep.” He patted her head and comforted her.
• Abigail nodded and strode to her room, wiping her tears with the back of her hand. He stared at her retreating back until she entered her room. Then he took the phone out of his pocket and dialed a number. When the call connected, he said coldly with his authoritative tone, “Check what happened at the get-together party that Abi attended. I want the man who dared to touch her to be punished.”
• After hearing an affirmative response from the other end of the phone, he hung up the call and headed straight to his study.
