• After Darlington left home, I went to have my bath and pondered on his request for me not to encounter his mother. I stepped out of the bathroom and wore my casual blue top and brown skirt. I went to the sitting room and saw a maid was already there, cleaning it up.
• "Good morning, ma." The maid greeted me, and I replied to her, "Morning." I walked away to sit on the couch, observing the maid arranging the cushions properly on the remaining couch. She cleared her cleaning equipment, leaving the sitting room. As there was a power supply, I embarked on switching on the television.
