• As Damien and I were engaged in our conversation, I caught a glimpse of Amaya approaching us from the corner of my eye. Ever since the slave had warned me not to trust anyone, I had been hesitant to openly engage with those around me, even my dear friend Amaya.
• However, I didn't want them to think something was amiss in our relationship, especially with Amaya being present when the slave had made that ominous declaration. So, I steeled myself, determined to maintain a semblance of normalcy.
