• Maverick’s POV;
• Despite the overwhelming fear that gripped me, I knew I had to be courageous in the face of such a powerful being. Transforming into my wolf, I let my wolf take over, each step I took towards the mother of wolves filled with fear.
• As the sound of my approaching footsteps reached her ears, she turned her gaze towards me and her piercing red eyes bored into my very soul. Summoning every ounce of my resolve, I stood before her. My wolf form dwarfed by her grand size and presence.
