• Nora’s pov:
• After Amaya’s confession to me, I asked her to point me towards Maverick’s office and she did. As I approached his office, without saying a word, I pushed the door open. I couldn’t help but be struck by the sheer magnificence of the space. The room was adorned with rich mahogany paneling that gleamed under the soft, ambient lighting, and the large windows allowed for a breathtaking view of the pack's territory. Inside was painted with a white paint.
• Maverick was seated across his desk and on it was a sleek, state-of-the-art laptop and an array of neatly organised papers and files. It was then his voice broke the silence as I admired how his office was built. He was quite angry. "Who gave you the right to barge into my office like it were yours? ," he askedwith his golden eyes fixed upon me with a steady gaze. "Is this your office?"
