• Nora's POV:
• As I sat in my room, my mind reeled from how Maverick hadn’t come to see me after he tried to take advantage of me. Aria then spoke. "Nora," she said with her voice soft and understanding. "I know these must be so difficult for you but you have to understand Maverick’s point of view”
• I scoffed. "Understand him? Aria, every time we are at odds, he always sends people to look after me and check up on me. When I was sick, he sent a maid and the doctor. After I was assaulted, he sent his aunty and his Gamma and now that I’m pisses at him for having his way despite me telling him to stop, he’s sending his maids to gift me unnecessary things. A fucking dress won’t comfort me. I was a maid, I’m not moved by material things” I complained.
