• The steam from the steaming hot water covered me, and I felt my skin begin to redden from the intensity of the heat. In a way, I welcomed the sensation - the scorching temperature seemed to burn away the lingering touch of Derek's hands on my body.
• The memory of that horrific moment flooded back, and I shuddered, the terror I had felt threatened to consume me once more. I had truly believed that day would be my last, that Derek would succeed in his twisted desires. The thought of it made my stomach churn with a mixture of revulsion and anguish.
