• While Travis was still in the lion's den—or rather, the living room—with her father, Courtney found herself pacing back and forth in the corridor like a caged tiger. Was she just overly worried? She feared Travis wouldn't be able to put on a convincing act and their plan would go up in flames.
• Courtney considered the idea of peeping through the door to catch a glimpse of their conversation, but she quickly dismissed the tempting thought. After all, she didn't want to risk being caught like a clumsy spy in a B-movie.
