Chapter 23

• As the sun began to dip, Hernandez and Jessica found themselves in the backseat of a car heading to John F. Kennedy International Airport. Hernandez had learned that Becca had recently taken a flight out of the city, and he couldn't help but wonder what she was up to, given the circumstances. He knew this wasn't just some casual trip—Becca wouldn't abandon Courtney, not now. Lost in thought, Hernandez hardly noticed when the car came to a stop at the parking lot.
• "Are you okay?" Jessica asked, placing a hand on his shoulder. Not wanting to burden her with his worries, Hernandez simply nodded in response.
• Moments later, they had exited the car with their driver and were making their way towards the airport's departure lounge. As they approached, Hernandez's face lit up when he spotted AJ with Sebastian Brat, and Ember Jones—the two individuals he had hired for the pre-production party drama just days before.
