Chapter 10
- Chapter ten:
- Courtney sat in the fading twilight, absently twirling a sleek invitation card between her fingers as she studied its contents. The invite, undoubtedly meant for her sister, was for an upcoming social gathering. She couldn’t help but wonder if her father would receive one as well. With a sigh, she set the card down next to her work laptop on the round table.
- Her father and Anna, her mother, had been growing closer lately. They had even attended their granddaughter’s birthday celebration together at the mansion together with the other members of the Williams family. It seemed Anna’s newfound dedication to her Christian faith was making her more tolerant and forgiving.
