Chapter 12

• Chapter twelve:
• Courtney found herself lost in thoughts about the film party at Hernandez's place. The night had taken a wild and unexpected turn, far beyond anything she could have envisioned for what was supposed to be a casual, enjoyable evening.
• Everything had spiraled out of control, and it seemed as though fate was pushing her buttons. First, a drunken man and his crass wife decided to make a scene, spewing venom with their words. Courtney could make their lives a living nightmare, but her focus was scattered, and they were the least of her concerns. She was furious with herself for even accepting the invitation in the first place.
