Chapter 65 Decision
- He was witnessing a fight between Adrian and his father, thinking we could use this time to do something. It was impossible to convince Nathan of anything at that moment. So, I decided to act, just as my ancestors and my grandmother wanted. I went back to the altar, where I focused. I sought an alternative and an answer to break that spell. Within myself, I felt the power emanating from the city, including that altar, which was the strongest connection to the Witch of Mordeal. I would have to fight this power, but she wasn't exactly like Jane, the one I just defeated. In fact, the primordial Witch had a power a thousand times greater and, somehow, she still lived here.

- "I can't go until I break this spell," I replied, looking straight ahead and focusing. It was more than just a desire to undo something; the magic used could only be broken by the witch who cast it... "Her blood," I realized, proud of myself. "Is that why it has to be me?" I asked my grandmother, who nodded with a smile. "But... how?"
