Chapter 16 Exhausted

• When Luna got home, she was eager to lock herself in her room and open the mysterious book from her family. She didn't even need to check if her parents were home. She slipped by unnoticed, practically running to her room, shut the door, and locked it.
• She didn't want anyone to open the door and find her with whatever that book was. Placing her bag on the bed, she knelt down and pulled out a box from under the bed where she kept some things. She removed the lid, took off a few small items on top, and from under a small blanket, she retrieved the book, gazing at it in fascination.
• Luna had no idea what she would find inside. She had to admit she was nervous. She stared at the book for a long time until she finally managed to open the cover and see what was on the first page. There were letters she couldn't understand. Maybe it was Latin or some ancient language, as she envisioned people in somewhat medieval clothing. She couldn’t find what she was looking for or wanted.
