Chapter 30 Unspoken Tensions

• They all headed to the table the boys had chosen. The tension was palpable. Luna wanted to flee, Adrian wished he could send her home without having to explain himself, Mary Ann yearned for attention from either of the two, and Miligan longed to be alone with Luna.
• Uncomfortably, they took their seats. Luna and Mary Ann sat next to each other, while Anthony and Adrian sat across from them. Luna found Adrian’s change in demeanor intriguing. Earlier, he seemed pleased that she was coming to the gathering, but now, he appeared furious with her. Luna wished she were strong enough to read his mind and find out what was going on, but that was not possible.
