• Adrian floated quickly along the path back home, his heart pounding in his chest. With every passing second, his worry grew. He knew his parents would notice his absence, and their reaction wouldn't be good. However, as he approached the large mansion, something seemed different. The number of guards was smaller than usual, an anomaly that heightened his unease.
• As he passed through the property's gates, Adrian felt a wave of apprehension. He pushed open the heavy front door and found his mother, Melissa, in the living room, pacing back and forth, visibly worried. When she saw him, she rushed to him, enveloping him in a strong, anxious hug.
• "Adrian! Where have you been?" Melissa's voice was laden with concern and irritation. Adrian, still breathless and with his heart racing, knew his mother could hear the truth in his heartbeat.
