Chapter 48 Like She Was Dead

• Rose thought that Miranda was incompetent when she saw that the Walker couple hadn't been brought away as she desired. She chose to hide in the cafe and observed the situation as she wasn't resigned to the outcome. As the sky slowly turned dark, there were fewer people around the campus. It was then that the Walker couple started to pack their things and left under the protection of the thugs.
• After Rose left the cafe, she anxiously got into her car and ordered her driver, "Follow those two cars. Be cautious and don't let them notice us!"
• The driver didn't know why she wanted to follow the couple, but he still did as told. Soon, both cars stopped in front of a small neighborhood. Following that, the Walker couple got down from the car, waved at the thugs, and thanked them for their help before walking toward the neighborhood hand-in-hand. Seeing that both of the cars had left, Rose immediately got down from her car and followed behind the couple quietly.
