Chapter 13 Watch Out, Mrs. Fowler!

• "How dare you…" Annoyed, Wilson was about to refute the ladies and talk back but suddenly decided to respond with a smiling face when he saw Rose coming his way. "Rosie."
• Rose walked up to Wilson and seized his hand, as if she was trying to assert her dominance over the man in front of Katherine. "What are you talking about, Willie?"
• Wilson held the lady's hand and replied, "Nothing much. We just ran into each other and said hi, just like old friends."
• "I see." Rose nodded and smiled at Katherine. "What brings you here, Katherine?" Before Katherine could reply, she suddenly covered her mouth, as if something just sprang to her mind. "Oh wait, I nearly forgot that you're pregnant. You must have come here for a check-up, right? Where is your child's father? Why didn't he come with you? Is it because he is too ashamed to show himself?"
• While Rose went on and on with her sarcastic remark, Katherine merely looked away in an uninterested manner, unwilling to entertain the former. I'm not going to waste my time talking back, or she is going to make a scene here like a mad woman. As soon as the elevator arrived, Katherine turned to Vivian and said, "Let's go."
• "Wait a second!" Rose stood in her way with her arm extended in front of Katherine. "This must be your first visit to this hospital, right? I bet you haven't known that the great Chapman Family runs Faith Hospital. So, you can imagine how complete the facilities here are. Because of that, the specialists are always hard to book due to the high demand. However, I still believe it wouldn't take you long to wait if you're going to the general ward, but the departments aren't located in the same way as they are in other hospitals. While the general wards here are all on the first floor, the specialists are located on the second floor or above. Therefore, this elevator is like a threshold that the poor can never pass. Do you get me? So, don't bother using it because you can't afford to."
• The cocky lady then flashed her registration form in front of Katherine. "Guess what? I was smart enough to pull the strings, in order to secure a spot for myself, thanks to a friend from the Chapman Family. If you'd excuse me now, I have to go because it's time for my appointment. Let's go, Willie. Dr. Langstrom is waiting for us." After that, Rose held Wilson's arm and headed toward the elevator.
• At that moment, a nurse walked up to Katherine and sized her up. "Are you Katherine Newman?"
• "Yup. Guilty as charged." Katherine nodded.
• The nurse immediately became polite. "Greetings, Miss Newman. Mr. Powell was afraid that you might get lost, so he sent me to show you the way. Here, please come with me to the elevator."
• In that instant, Katherine quickly realized that Robert must have told Stephen about her visit beforehand and smiled at the nurse. "Thanks." As she walked away with the nurse, she looked back and glimpsed the elevator, seeing Rose with her mouth wide agape before the door closed.
• As soon as the elevator door closed, Rose was left humiliated, instantly finding the registration form that she was showing off to Katherine a few minutes ago laughable.
• The next second, she crumpled the paper and squeezed it in her palm so hard that her nails were turning white. "Why was there a nurse to show her the way? Why did the dean send someone to receive her?! She is just an outcast abandoned by the Newman Family, so who is she to be treated so well?"
• Before Wilson could say anything, she went on to justify what she saw with her own reason. "I know what's going on now. The person she slept with must have been Mr. Powell! I'm sure I'm right about that. Darn it! I can't believe that b*tch would go so far to seduce that old man! Ew, how disgusting!"
• On the other hand, Wilson stared at their reflection on the elevator door, setting his eyes on Rose's twisted smile as he could tell how jealous she was of Katherine. At that moment, a disgusted look flashed across his face. I wasn't lying when I told Katherine I wasn't serious with Rose. In fact, she can never compare to you, Katherine. You're beautiful and gorgeous like an angel, but this lady is temperamental and feisty like a crazy freak.
• Deep down, Wilson reckoned he was still sensible enough to know which of the two ladies he should choose. After all, he still loved her, considering the years of relationship they had shared with each other.
• Suddenly, Rose nudged his arm and asked, "What's with the silence, Wilson?"
• "Yeah, I think you're right." He snapped out of his trance and smiled at Rose. I'll have to endure until the time is right. Once I take over the Reese Family, I'll no longer have to fear the Newman Family. By then, I'll go to Katherine and get her back. As long as she is willing to repent for her unfaithfulness, I could still forgive her and let her come back to my side.
• Meanwhile, Katherine and Vivian successfully made their way into the elevator just as the nurse granted them access with her card. At that moment, Vivian curiously asked, "Mrs. Fowler, who are those two people we met back there?"
• "They're just some people who are not worth your time and mine to entertain. So, don't bother finding out," Katherine said. I guess I still loved Wilson a little back then, but now, all I feel for him is hate and disgust. As for Rose, she is someone I don't even bother looking at.
• Nevertheless, she suddenly caught on to something at the thought of Wilson and Rose. Wait a second. I sneaked into Daniel's room back then because I wanted to get under Wilson's skin, but now, it looks like I went a little too far and somehow achieved my goal. I wonder if Daniel is going to find out about my child's origin, considering the distant family relation between the Fowler Family and the Reese Family.

• After meeting the medical team from abroad, Katherine was relieved, knowing how professional they were in setting the boundaries and handling emergencies. Therefore, she stayed in the hospital and kept Stephen company until noon, when she decided it was time to leave with Vivian. Since their transportation was arranged by David when they came to the hospital, they went straight to the car park as soon as they reached downstairs.
• At that moment, a white Santana appeared to be traveling at high speed in Katherine's direction, seemingly out of control. "Watch out, Mrs. Fowler!" Vivian quickly dove toward Katherine and wrapped her arms around her.
• Bang! A few seconds later, a Santana ended up ramping a tree shortly after it had barely grazed the ladies.
