• I chased Ryan out of the kitchen and told him to freshen up. It took a few kisses to convince him.
• Once I was alone, I did a twirl and held the giggle in. My hand lay on my chest then I shook my head. I went back to cooking but my mind was still trapped in the memory of what just happened and also looking forward to the night we were about to have.
• I quickly finished the dishes then loaded the dishwasher. Once the kitchen was clean and everything was sorted I put the food on a tray and began making my way out. My eyes fell on the large bouquet and I recalled that I had not thanked him for them. I wondered what was in the paper bag. I rushed up and nearly fell. Luckily, I wasn’t carrying the drinks or they would have spilled.
