• Hand on my chest I gasped again. My eyes went blurry for a second as I stared in utter shock. The lights were off and the only light came from the candles placed a few meters apart, the flames flickering even on the walls.
• I closed my eyes, the sweet and vanilla scent filing the whole house. I couldn’t believe, savouring what I had seen, thinking when I opened my eyes it would all be gone. My body quivered, opening my eyes to the rose petals all over the floor. The counter was completely covered with boxes of red roses, red balloons strung from these boxes, floating in the air.
