Chapter 84 You Promised!

• Mariah was pacing around in her room. She had signaled for Elena to wait her, after all, having been taken care of by her for so long had brought them closer. They could hear the ongoing chaos above them, but they tried to be as calm as they could. Asher had mind-linked to her that he was going home to bring their father. It has been hours now, and she wondered if he was back. She has no way of checking up on Alaric, and she wouldn’t want to rush outside for no reason and distract him. Now more than ever, she wished she had listened to Asher and trained more in combat. Perhaps, she would have helped in the fight, and wouldn’t be locked away for her own protection.
• A loud rumbling sound caused the earth to shake, and Elena got up from where she sat immediately and rushed to Mariah. “What is going on?” Mariah asked.
• “I do not know, my Queen. It sounded too close to be happening above ground.”
