• Veronica was stunned for a few seconds but still felt a bit uncomfortable. She had been here for ten minutes, thinking Carlos should have left by then. Intending to return to her office, she walked down the corridor past the main office but suddenly saw the door to the conference room swung open. The man emerged, and the two coincidentally met.
