Chapter 91 Plans Ruined

Lawson no longer knew what command to send to his body to make it move. Every muscle in his body was completely numb, both from the injuries and from the pain of being in the same position for so long. He threw his head back and took a deep breath before pulling again in another futile attempt to get loose. They had tied him down tight enough that he couldn't get away.
He cursed. He would definitely get out of there, settle up with Kenny and get back to his she-wolf’s side. He was sure of that. The method of getting there was a bit complicated. He felt that with every passing second his life was draining away. At least he wasn't giving up, he could still feel his link to Raven. It still pulsed and indicated to him that she was alive, only not long ago he felt it stronger, as if she was close by. He couldn't imagine that she had gone to save him, although knowing her... she was crazy enough for that. He only prayed that he hadn't been wrong when he had told Kenny that their relationship wasn't strong enough for her to go looking for him.
But her hopes were dashed when the door to her room opened and Magnus walked in carrying a body over his shoulder. Lawson gasped and opened his mouth, but not a word came out.
