Chapter 89 You Know What I'm Going To Do

• Scarlet tended to each of the alpha's scars and bandaged them carefully. She then combed the alpha's hair back and cleaned it as best she could leaving it as neat as possible. He gave directions for another guard to do the same for Hunter. She didn't think she could do it with him. She only felt comfortable touching Demon, Stile and Lawson. Her phobia of contact with others hadn't gone away so easily and it had gotten a little worse after seeing one of the wolves that was part of her nightmare from the past. Only she was disguising it quite well.
• When she came out she stood in the doorway next to the rest of the guards resting in their wolfish forms draped over their own bodies. They were alert, but regained energy. For the moment she could only wait there for Stile to arrive. She couldn't leave all of them there, let alone with the alpha wounded just to go find Lawson no matter how much her body begged her to.
• But it wasn't until past the middle of the dawn that they felt someone approaching. They felt no howl of alarm and the smell was quickly recognizable so Scarlet knew who they were and waited for them along with the others. It wasn't long before Stile's wolfish body along with part of the group he had gone with appeared. They hadn't had many casualties, less than five but their bodies were full of wounds.
