Chapter 66
- Lewis gently laid Lily down on her bed; he took off her heels with utmost care. He couldn't help but notice how beautiful she looked even in her drunken state. Her long hair was spread out like a fan around her head, and her cheeks were slightly flushed from the alcohol.
- Lewis sat on the edge of the bed, staring at Lily's sleeping face. He had loved her for years, keeping his feelings hidden deep inside because he was terrified of her reaction. What if she got angry? What if she rejected him completely? What if she hates him? Those fears always held him back.
- Lewis remembered all the times he tried to talk to her, only for her to brush him off because she was too busy with Ethan. "Not now, Lewis," "Ethan needs me," "I'm busy with Ethan." Those words echoed in his mind. She never gave him a chance because of Ethan.
