• Dahlia scratched the back of her head, tossing a few strands of hair over her shoulder in a desperate attempt to conceal the mark that now marred her skin. In her mind, there were only two people in the world who could know about this—one being Hessa, and she was determined that no one else would ever learn of it.
• The thought of other men approaching her sent a shiver down her spine; marked females were considered untouchable, claimed by others, making her feel like an unreachable prize.
• A flutter of excitement coursed through her veins, accompanied by a familiar tension between her thighs as she caught sight of the Alpha standing confidently in front of her. Clearing her throat, she composed herself and replied, "Yeah? I was just planning to head to school, but since I have a couple of free classes, I can talk for a bit."
