Chapter 18

• Biting her bottom lip anxiously, she paused at the base of the staircase leading down to the Cell. Should she really be going down there? Did she even have the right to do so? Was this action morally wrong? Was she walking into a situation that would lead to her demise? As she repeatedly questioned herself, she chose to silence those thoughts and began her descent, desperately hoping to find only the Alpha waiting for her.
• Barely anyone knew where he actually resided—only the high-ranking wolves and her father possessed that knowledge, and they were known to keep such information tightly guarded. But the Alpha had told her she could come to talk to him whenever she wished.
• And now here she was, ready to engage in conversation.
