• Thomas did not survive. He died on arrival at the hospital. It took me several months to get over it. I felt guilty about his death, I blamed myself for everything that had happened. I didn't want to see anyone. I stayed locked in my room, not wanting to talk to anyone. André, Elisa, Natacha, Hugo, Marc and even grandfather came to see me every day, but I refused to talk to them. I had to see a psychiatrist to get over it, but above all to accept everything that had happened.
• Today I am happier with the four loves of my life. André, and our three children. The oldest is fourteen years old and his name is Thomas, after my savior. The youngest is ten and named John, after my grandfather, who died of a heart attack three years ago. The last one is five years old and is named Ellie.
