Chapter 9 The Campus Belle Is Punished

  • Amelia Snyder
  • I thought in surprise, did Castor just defend me?
  • I was not the only one who was shocked by Castor's words. Everyone was alarmed to hear the boy defending me. "It turns out that Castor wasn't speaking up for Trisha."
  • The color drained from Trisha's face as she tried to defend herself, "Mr. Odin, I…"
  • However, Castor glowered at her and interrupted, "I saw that Trisha came into our class and asked for Amelia. She attempted to teach Amelia a lesson but was ultimately defeated."
  • Although he was telling the truth, I knew he had not witnessed the occurrence. Regardless, no one would dispute a celebrity's words.
  • Mr. Odin coughed lightly and asked, "Do you have anything else to say, Trisha?"
  • Her cheeks turned scarlet with embarrassment as she tried to flee the principal's office.
  • However, I cut her off by asking, "I have a question. It's wrong to injure others physically, but it's also irresponsible to disparage your peers. Shouldn't you compensate me and voluntarily get out of the school?"
  • "You…" Trisha hissed breathlessly.
  • Some parents pleaded, "It's a misunderstanding, Amelia!"
  • "I'm sorry that our child doesn't know her manners. Please forgive us."
  • Some even went so far as to pull out a wad of cash. "I apologize for our child's behavior, Amelia. Please accept this as compensation."
  • I raised an eyebrow at their pitiful attempt to solve the problem. It was pointless to give me cash when I had plenty of it. They turned sullen when I rejected their offer.
  • Mr. Odin stepped in and intervened, "Let's put an end to this matter. The students involved shall take a week of absence from school."
  • The parents nodded their heads vigorously. "That's fair! The children are still young. We'll teach them that it's wrong to lie."
  • The Meadows dragged Trisha away immediately, fearing further humiliation.
  • The other students, who had come to watch a good show, had not anticipated the unexpected turn of events.
  • The crowd dispersed within minutes after Mr. Odin bellowed, "Get back to class immediately."
  • I turned to Mr. Odin and said, "I'll head back to class too."
  • "All right," he replied.
  • Castor accompanied me back to class. I noticed a familiar figure as we exited the principal's office. It was, if I recall correctly, Benjamin's subordinate. He appeared to be holding a name card. However, he turned around and left the moment he saw me.
  • What the hell is Benjamin up to? Did he send his man to spy on me? I decided not to pursue the matter as it did not seem like he had malicious intent.
  • On our way back, I turned to Castor and teased, "I never expected a talented celebrity like you would be so good at lying!"
  • The boy flashed an awkward smile and said, "I did it for you, Amelia! Why are you teasing me?"
  • "I can solve the problem without your help," I said confidently.
  • Castor asked, "How so?"
  • "Have you ever counted how many of those we have around school?" I lamented, pointing to the surveillance camera.
  • Whatever the case, I was pleased with the outcome. I had never met anyone in this world who could harm me.
  • "Amelia, wait for me!" Castor yelled as I joyfully skipped back to class.
  • Angelica Snyder
  • Everyone in Class A was talking about the fight between Trisha and Amelia.
  • "Amelia is so cool!"
  • "It was hilarious to see the Campus Belle sneak away, humiliated."
  • "Yeah! She has finally got her punishment!"
  • Angelica tried to keep her annoyance at bay as she heard her classmates sing Amelia's praises. She thought that Trisha would be able to teach her sister a lesson. In the end, she not only had Castor on her side, but she also had the support of many of her classmates.
  • The school bell soon rang, signaling the start of English class.
  • Yelena shrieked, "Silence! Don't think you are safe from expulsion. Some students can be so brazen. She has wreaked havoc on the school despite only being here for a few days."
  • Like the rest of her classmates, Angelica turned to look at Amelia. However, the latter did not appear to mind Yelena's cynical remarks as she continued to rest on the table.
  • "Ms. Thornhill, you've misunderstood! Trisha was the one who initiated the fight!" Some of the boys in class protested.
  • "You should be standing up for us, Ms. Thornhill!"
  • "Our teacher looks down on those from the village. She's attempting to appease the powerful Meadow family."
  • "All she does is make life difficult for us. Despite her knowledge of Amelia's poor command of English, she forced her to answer the question in front of the entire class."
  • Angelica was envious of the class's willingness to defend a village bumpkin.
  • Yelena glared at Amelia and said spitefully, "If you don't want to be looked down on, prove your worth with your exam results. Anyone with fewer than 90 points doesn't deserve to be in Class A. No one appears to be in the mood to study today. The class is dismissed!" In a rage, the teacher threw the book on the floor and stormed out of class.
  • Angelica thought Amelia is going to be in trouble for annoying Ms. Thornhill. Since her return, I've felt like my place in the Snyder family has been called into question. When they first reunited, Dad lavished her with expensive gifts. If I don't put in the effort, I'll gradually lose Dad's and Mom's favor. As their true blood daughter, Amelia may seize the opportunity to win their hearts. There's no place for me in the Snyder family if she manages to win Dad and Mom's love.
  • A cold shiver ran down Angelica's spine when she thought of how Amelia could lead to her downfall. As a result, she vowed to ace the exams to prove that she was better than her sister and the only one worthy of being the Snyder family's daughter.
