Chapter 40 The First Step Toward Healing

• The sun had just begun to filter through the curtains of Daniel’s hospital room when Margaret Carter began packing his belongings. The routine had become familiar over the past few weeks, with each visit ending the same way—leaving with hope but returning to find Daniel still in the grip of his amnesia. Today, though, was different. Today, Daniel was being discharged.
