Chapter 18 New Rules

  • The pack house was bigger than it looked on the outside. There were four floors and so many rooms. Cara showed me all the rooms in the ground floor. They all looked grand, befitting the castle it was. The living room was large. It had golden pillars and a golden chandelier at the centre. The high ceiling was decorated with gold and blue, making it look absolutely majestic, a sight to behold. There were couches placed in three different spots of the room along with glass centre tables. Portraits were hung at different points of the cream coloured wall and grand carpeting covered up the floor.
  • After the living room was a large rectangular hall with long tables with rows of chairs. On the opposite side was a grand kitchen, pantry and buttery. There was even a fireplace. After exploring all the rooms on that floor, we got on the large stairway led to the upper floors. The upper floors were not as interesting because they consisted mainly of housing units for several people in the pack.
  • The last floor was grand. It was where the alpha lived alone. It all belonged to him. Since the current alpha did not have a family, he was staying on that floor all alone. I thought it was unfair since some of the pack members had to live on outhouses in the compound. How could he hog all that space? Clearly, he was as bad as I thought.
