• “You want to tell me what the that was? Six days!?” he shouted, frightening me. “You have just shown signs of weakness Ivonne! You know that shit hurts us, doesn't it?” asked as if I were stupid. I smiled sideways and took my eyes off him, holding the lump in my throat that was starting to get bigger and bigger. “Look at me”. he said. “Ivonne, look at me”. he added, but I refused to do so.

I added, out of the corner of my eye I could see how he put his hands on his head and ruffled his blond hair. He turned and left, or so I thought, because as he took a few steps he stopped, turned back in the direction I was in and hugged me from behind.
