Chapter 142 Straighten Out

• While I waited to leave for Sunfall, I attempted to ignore Paul, a behaviour he quickly noticed. Seated in the family room, contemplating how to spend the day, he approached the doorway and abruptly bellowed, “Everybody, get out.”
• I was as taken aback as everyone else by Paul's sudden display of intensity. Walking toward him, I furrowed my forehead and inquired, “What's wrong?” My gentle voice filled the house as Queenie and the remaining staff promptly exited.
• “It seems like there are too many people in this house that you have to resort to ignoring me,” he remarked, his words sending a chill through the room, causing me to break into a cold sweat. All I could think was that he would want to punish me.
