  • " Where is your mother, and why do you say you miss her?! " She inquired, and he remained silent for a few moments, staring at her. She knew he didn't want to talk about it, and she suspected it was something he didn't want to remember. Miranda suspected that something had happened to his mother to cause him to remain silent.
  • " You can just say you don't want to talk about it," she says. She gave him reassurance.
  • "Yes, I agree. I don't want to discuss it for now." He muttered something and looked at her.
  • "Is it true that you all have the same mother?! Damien, I was referring to you, and..." He cut her off in the middle of her sentence.
  • " Yes, my brothers and I have the same mother." He responded.
  • "I haven't overheard any of you mention her. What happened to her?!" She asked, her curiosity getting the better of her; she could see Andrew's knuckles tightening and frowning at her for asking such a dumb question, but it wasn't her fault. Andrew was the one who felt compelled to tell her about his horrific background, despite how difficult it was to tell her what had driven him to this point, particularly what had transpired that night.
