• I had barely managed to pull the blankets up over Ella’s tiny form when I heard the faint shuffle of feet outside the apartment. My heart skipped a beat. I had been on edge all day, not knowing what would happen next. But hearing the soft noise of someone creeping around outside sent my nerves into overdrive. It was them.
• Axel, Aiden, and Kingston had finally made it to his apartment. I couldn’t believe it. After everything that had happened, everything that had changed, I never thought I’d find myself facing them again, especially not here, not like this.
