Chapter 64 Sixty Four
- Neon lights, cheerful music, rides games, cotton candy, and sounds of excitement in the air. Desmond and I were at the biggest carnival in the city. Being there brought back nostalgic memories of my childhood when I and my siblings used to come there with Dad.
- “You know I have made the best memories here,” I began, reaching for Desmond’s hand but catching air instead. Upon turning around, I found him to be absent from my side. Where did he go?
- My eyes sought him in the crowd and quickly spotted him chatting up a tall blonde girl. Watching her play with a hair strand and touch his shoulder as they conversed made my blood boil.
