Chapter 59 Fifty Nine

• After watching superhero movies, I think most girls imagine being saved by a big, powerful man and flying in his arms at some point in their lives. I was guilty of fantasizing about such scenes as well in my teen years.
• Desmond had proposed to go by air, using his abilities to reach home faster. Flying was supposed to be different with him. I didn’t know what he meant by that until he demonstrated it.
• Boy, oh, boy, was Desmond right about it being a dissimilar experience! He did carry me in his arms, but we skipped the flying part. All I felt was a strong current of air surrounding my body and pitch-black darkness before my eyes.
