Chapter 20

  • I was so relaxed in the tub that I didn’t know when I slept off. When I woke up again, the water was cold and my body felt prune. I dried myself off and headed to find the appropriate sleeping wear, I looked for something comfortable and cool to sleep with.
  • It was almost morning and I didn’t see myself going to school, when it’s past four in the morning and I haven’t slept a wink.
  • I laid on my bed and turned off the lights to create a more comfortable sleeping environment. I just laid my head on the pillow when I went off like the light. I must have been more tired than I expected.
  • It was bright the next time when I woke up, I felt like I have been run over by a very massive truck, I was so sore and could hardly move my joints from the bed. It dawned on me that I forgot to take the Advil last night as Camilla instructed.
  • I groaned as my muscles protested as I headed into the bathroom to relieve myself, I tried calling Camilla but she wasn’t picking up her phone, I finished from the bathroom, washed my hands and headed back to bed but at the last minute. I went downstairs to the kitchen because I was so famished.
  • Taking the stairs was a terrible idea, each step I took felt like my body was on fire. All my joints ached from the movement and I clearly needed rest but I needed to get food into my system too.
