Chapter 186 Esme

• I was exhausted after a training shift at the hospital today. Though I often am after my shifts when I am working in the hospital. But while it was exhausting, I love it. They are so hectic, but so rewarding. Today I had been on the children's unit, and I love being on there, they are so sweet, so grateful, and say some of the funniest things. I think working with the kids on the wards is more rewarding as they seem so happy to see you. Makes me glad to go in to work. And it is all getting me closer to my final goal of my medical degree. Something I have dreamt of doing since I was a little girl.
• I had literally got back to my apartment, stripped out of my uniform and flopped on to my bed in my underwear. Unbelievably tired, and so ready to sleep, despite being in desperate need of a shower. I was just dropping off when my phone was ringing. eurgh, leave me alone! I initially ignored it, assuming it was likely some call centre trying to sell me life insurance or to do a survey or some other random phone call that forever seem to harass me. That seems to be the only type of phone call I get, so I see no reason to answer that when I really need to sleep.
• I just wanted to snooze. But my phone was persistently ringing again and again. Hmmm, maybe it wasnt a call centre. They would not keep calling like that. Maybe I need to answer. I rolled over half asleep to pick it up and answered it putting it on loud speaker, flopping back down again, not bothered about moving.
