We finally arrived back to pack, back to our house after a long day of waiting at the airport, and then the flight and travelling from the airport. It felt like it had dragged, because I was literally counting down time to get home with my mate. We now had some time before Lola’s family would arrive, as they were driving up to allow them to bring all their things from their home they would need. I know she was desperate to have them arrive in pack, but they would be here soon enough and no doubt be made to feel extremely welcome. That is just how our pack is. And I know Lola will be making sure they settle in well, though she is new here too so I want to help her settle in. Cherish her first few weeks here. Cherish our early time together as mates. I was just glad to have her home with me.
“Welcome home Carino” I smile at Lola as we walk through the door having finally left everyone else to go their separate ways.
Gabe had wasted no time rushing off home with Esme. Not that I blame him in the slightest. I imagine he felt just as glad to be home as I was, maybe even more so, as this would be their first proper time together since that first night, since she had fled. Their first time alone.
