- Serenity looked toward the prince, surprised that he was helping her. She wondered about his intentions at that moment. Percival seemed confused for a moment but quickly regained his composure.
- “I went to your room but couldn’t find you, Serenity. I’ve been looking for you for some time now,” he said. Before Serenity could respond, Atticus stepped in.
- “She was hiding in the garden, crying. How could you think you could impose such a fragile companion on me? Did you really believe I would accept this?” Atticus challenged.
