Chapter 23 Stormy Night!
- In his room, Atticus gazed out the window at the stormy night sky. Thunder rumbled in the distance, and lightning illuminated the darkness. The black clouds seemed to mirror the darkness that had fallen over his life since his parents had been ambushed and killed. The kingdom had been a place of peace and prosperity before his uncle Percival had taken the throne, citing Atticus's alleged inability to rule. But since then, things had gone from bad to worse. The werewolves had become pawns in Percival’s power game, the people had been robbed and massacred, and even other alphas had bowed to the great alpha king. His reign was one of destruction and chaos.
- Atticus clenched his fists, feeling anger and frustration boiling inside him. He knew he should be the true alpha, the one who would rule with compassion and justice, bringing peace and prosperity to the kingdom once again. But his uncle had stolen that from him, using lies and deceit to turn the pack against him and reign in his place.
- The storm raged outside, its fury dancing in the wind like a chaotic symphony. As Atticus watched nature's chaos, a solemn vow echoed in his mind. He vowed to himself that he would not rest until he reclaimed what was rightfully his, until he overthrew Percival and restored order to the kingdom now in disarray.
