• Mangano closes her eyes and suddenly hears a gunshot. She thought she had been shot, but feeling no pain in her body, she opens her eyes fearfully and there comes Leonardo toward her. "Are you alright!?" He grabs her face with his free hand.
• "Yes, yes," she answers, flustered. When she feels him push her to the left and several shots are heard, she covers her ears and feels him grab her by the arm.
• "Where are the children?" Di Napoli asks with great concern.
